We are calling for themed playlists for the WisCon 46 Vid Party! Themed playlists are due April 30th.
We would like to invite you to curate themed vid playlists (10-22 minutes long) to play at the party. As a vid playlist curator, you will choose a theme and pick vids that fit the theme. You are welcome to write a short introduction, which we will include in online and printed programs.
We are open to playlists that connect in some way to WisCon’s goals of exploring gender, race, sexuality, class, disability, and other social justice issues in speculative fiction. The social justice concept might be visible in the sources themselves, in the argument or narrative of the individual vids, in the characters the vids choose to focus on, or in the way the vids are assembled in the playlist! We don’t want to limit you: if you think the theme and playlist work for WisCon, we’d love to see them.
We welcome the inclusion of videos from any remix / fan video / fan edit tradition. The individual vids on your playlist do not have to be limited to sources that strictly fit definitions of science fiction or fantasy, but the overall playlist should be connected to social justice and speculative fiction.

Next steps:
If you would like to make a playlist, please let us know in the comments below. If you already have a theme planned, include that in your comment - vidders may want to submit premieres to your playlist. Once you have completed your playlist, submit it to vidparty.wiscon@gmail.com.
If you have a vid in process that's a perfect match for a playlist mentioned below, please comment to let the playlist curator know! The curator will need to include this vid on their playlist when they submit (list the download link as "premiering vid"), and the vidder will need to note that this vid is for a playlist in the "notes" section of the premiere submission form when they submit the vid.
